Nora Anzalone is a English B.A. student at Arizona State University. Coming from a family of readers and book industry professionals, it's hard to find someone with as much passion or intuition when it comes to literature. Having years of exposure and experience in both book retail and the higher education library system, her skills and knowledge are across the board.
Nora's Statement: The power of reading is definitely a phenomenon that I can attest to. Since I was a child, books have been the most constant and loyal of my companions. From 'Sarah's Lion' to 'Throne of Glass', literature has helped shape my identity, values, and ambitions. As such, I hope to use this platform to assist in the effort that one day I may be a Children's & YA book editor. Those early years of reading are the most significant when shaping the mind of an individual and establishing the seeds of imagination and independent thought. However, despite the expansive pool of creators & diverse voices there are to ingest, too often material fails to represent this while simultaneously repeating elements and themes. So to be a part of the process that will help to ensure bringing diverse, unique, and quality publications into the hands of more children and adolescents would be utterly life-fulfilling.
